2015 5k #3: Muckfest MS Detroit

On Saturday, August 1, 2015, I completed my third 5k of the year. It was a warm and breezy day, with temperatures in the upper 70s - in other words: a perfect day!

This 5k was special... it was a fundraiser for MS, which one of my friends has, and the route was sprinkled with muddy obstacles. I completed every obstacle except for one (I couldn't get over my fear of heights). We got super dirty!

Update! On August 7th, they released all the (free) photos that professionals took throughout the event. They have been added to the bottom of this post. :)

Photos courtesy of Becca and her waterproof phone case.
I "waterproofed" my Fitbit with Glad Press'n'Seal and
it survived being totally submerged in muddy water!
The zip line
Even when I straightened my legs, my feet couldn't touch the water!
Jumping off the giant swing
The after... SO muddy!!

The Tidying Project: Part 2

Discarded papers from my filing cabinet

Today, I tried applying the same KonMari Method (as explained in this post) to my filing cabinet. I was able to discard so many papers! It's incredible what parts of my past I had been holding on to for so long - and I had no idea. Again, I'm feeling so much  lighter, and this step helped me complete the desk-organizing project I started months ago!
