"The Incredibles"

This movie was awesome! I didn't know what to expect other than hearing that it was a good movie. The graphics were awesome and the plot was a pretty good one. My favorite character was the little kid on the tricycle. He was the one that said my favorite line from the movie: "That was totally wicked!!"
I watched this movie on the Ms. Zaandam cruise ship from the Holland America line with my Aunt Cindy. We both enjoyed it a lot. We wondered if they could come out with a sequel (because we thought it was good enough to have one), but the end didn't seem to leave much open enough to have one. But who knows!!

"The Forgotten"

I watched this movie on Saturday night with three frat guys, my roommate and another friend. We thought it was pretty good - and it even got a scream out of one of us - until a part near the end. The 'bad guy's' face contorts and stretches and looks so funny we all laughed. It kind of ruined the scariness of the scene.
There is also an alternate ending on the DVD. Don't worry, I won't give it away, but I think I liked the original better. It might have left you hangin' a bit, but it made you think.

I can't wait to see The Ring 2!!

"Memórias Póstumas"

In case you couldn't tell, this movie is a foreign film. It's in Portuguese, though I'm not sure of its origin (Portugal or Brazil). The image on the right is the cover of the book on which the movie was based, I was not able to find the DVD cover.

The story is about a man, Brás Cubas, that lived in Brazil and Europe in the 1800s. He tells the story of his life himself, about 100 years after his death. I know it sounds weird, but it's kind of funny. Because sometimes you see his 'dead self' in the scenes along with his 'young self' and he can freeze them and start talking about the particular situation they were in etc.

The movie was interesting and had quite a few humorous parts. It's one of those good movies that doesn't need any extreme scenes to make it a good one. :) There are too few of those around these days.

"Napoleon Dynamite"

Well... This proved to be one of those movies you don't truly appreciate until the next day when you're telling a friend about it. I watched it with James and Ryan in James' room. We were kind of confused by a few things, like the fact that Napoleon looks like he's in his 20s and he's going to high school... but there were also some hilarious moments.
